It’s so peaceful here: a quiet house on a quiet street. The smiling woman waiting for me as I wake up says I’m lucky to be here – lucky to be alive. But the only thing I remember are the faces of my husband and baby. The husband and baby she insists don’t exist…
As I look around at the unfamiliar bedroom I’ve been in since I awoke from my coma – the floral curtains softly fluttering and the antique-style light above my head – all I can think about is my husband’s handsome face and the laughter of our sweet baby.
I’m desperate to see them again.
My eyes fall on the woman sitting by my bed. She tells me she’s my sister. But she also swears my husband and baby aren’t real. That I’m just confused after the accident.
I know she’s lying.
But… if my husband is real, where is he? Why hasn’t he come to get me?
And why am I locked in this room every day? My heart pounds every time I hear the key turn. Then I discover the anonymous note buried deep in a bunch of flowers beside me – with just two words on it: I’m sorry…
Everyone is lying to me. But confined to this bed, with no memory to guide me, can I uncover the truth about the accident – and what their plans are for me – before it’s too late…?
My Review
This book just wow! It had me on the edge of my seat. I was completely hooked. I couldn’t put this down until I finished it. The story is completely gripping and you will be desperate to find out what was happening.
This is a book I will definitely recommend.
