Book Review - The Wife

Publication date 9th September 2020
About the book
Zoe fainted on her wedding day, and she never knew why. She’s always felt sure something bad happened. Ten years later, she’s going to find out what…

It was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. Zoe was sitting in her hotel room, in her perfect white dress, looking forward to the moment when she would make kind, handsome Toby her husband.

Then, there was a blank.

They said she must have fainted, overcome with emotion. But nothing felt quite right afterwards. Did something happen in that missing time?

Now, Toby and Zoe have two beautiful children and a perfect life. They’re planning their ten-year anniversary party for their family and friends. The invitations have been sent, the food ordered. They’re going back to the grand hotel where they got married.

But as the anniversary gets closer, it becomes clear not everyone is looking forward to celebrating. Zoe catches Toby lying about where he’s been. One of her best friends seems to be ignoring her. And someone is spreading stories that might stop the party from happening at all.

Zoe is increasingly sure that she doesn’t have the full story. But does she want to know the truth, if it will destroy everything?

My Review
Oh my goodness where do I even begin? This is no joke I actually read this book in three hours straight I just couldn’t put it down - it is that addictive.

Absolutely fantastic story, so well written and the best thing was no matter how many guess I did to try to guess what was going to happen they where all wrong.  Honestly I just did not see that coming! I swear my heart was pounding, I was scared.

This book will have you on the edge of your seat! Completely gripping!

I for sure am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author! She has wrote an absolutely outstanding book!

Blog Tour- Autumn Skies Over Ruby Falls

Publication date 10th September 2020
About the book

Clover Philips is exactly where she’s meant to be –

back home on Jewel Island teaching dance to the

guests at the beautiful Sapphire Bay Hotel that she

co-owns with her sisters Skye and Aria. Her life is

complete, except for one thing…

When Clover left London she also left behind a

devastating betrayal. She hasn’t been able to date

anyone since, let alone allow herself to fall in love.

What she needs is a casual fling to ease herself back

into romance. And as luck would have it, the very

handsome Angel Mazzeo is back in town.

The chemistry between Clover and Angel has been

undeniable ever since he first arrived on Jewel Island

six months ago. And though content to be her friend

till now, Angel is more than willing to help Clover

find her dating feet again.

It should be easy to keep things carefree when love

is off the table, but when every moment is magical

what started as casual soon becomes something

much deeper. Will Clover and Angel find the

courage to tell each other how they really feel? And

is Clover ready to do the one thing she swore she’d

never do again, fall in love?

My Review

Oh my goodness! Just when you think you have read

Holly’s best book yet she brings out another

absolutely amazing book.  Opening that very first

page I had such a smile on my face. I was delighted

to be getting back to most beautiful little village and

hotel and I just loved how it just picks up where the

last book left off. I really adore these characters

honestly they are just like family to me I feel like I

know them that well. I desperately had my fingers

crossed that all would be well for them in this latest

read and I was excited for what lay ahead for them.

Honestly this book is pure perfection you really can’t

fault it. I cannot wait for the next book.. I need more!

With old friends, new promises and a little borrowed time, will Rachel get the wedding of her dreams?

My Review
From the very first book in this series I was hooked so I was so excited to get reading this and oh boy it was everything I wanted and more.
Again the same characters where involved in this which is brilliant because you cant help but love them all. Rachel was my favourite she is so down to earth, friendly and cheerful even when she is upset.
Rachel and her mother would go out of their way to help anyone. I just wanted everything to work out for them as they deserve so much happiness.  Oh and not to mention they are amazing bakers/chefs honestly the food I read throughout this book made my mouth water and the author has described them so well you could just taste them and smell them.. fantastic!
I have my fingers crossed that there will be another book in this series! You will definitely read this book with a smile on your face. Oh and it is such an easy book to read.. a pure delight!

Can I Give My Husband Back?

Publication date 19th June 2020

About the book
It’s normal to prefer getting a filling at the dentist’s to spending time with your husband, right?

I thought I was sorted on the life front. I was a heart surgeon with a loving partner and two gorgeous little girls. Except my husband’s version of ‘loving’ is lying, cheating and sleeping his way around London. Which means I definitely deserve a refund.

Unfortunately, moving on isn’t that simple. Just because I know how to operate on a heart doesn’t mean I know how to fix my broken one. Plus, I lost the receipt for him years ago so I’m definitely getting short changed.

But now I’m single, am I ready to mingle? There are a few minor issues:

1) The last time I went on a date double denim was in fashion and my eyebrows were horrendously overplucked.
2) Men wear stupidly skinny jeans now.
3) I don’t know how to use dating apps but at least I don’t have to get changed out of my pyjamas.
4) Sometimes the most promising thing you have in common with a guy is a shared love of prawns.
5) I don’t know whether to open a date with ‘hi’ or ‘hello’ or ‘hey’ and once I ended up saying ‘howdy’.

Everything happens for a reason, they say. There’s plenty more fish in the sea. But what happens when everything falls apart and you haven’t got a clue how to go fishing?

An absolutely hilarious and utterly relatable tale for anyone who has ever survived a nightmare relationship, felt a little lonely or nursed a broken heart with wine and carbs. This feel-good novel will get you back on your feet and genuinely laughing out loud. Perfect for fans of Why Mummy Drinks, Sophie Ranald and Sophie Kinsella.

My Review
As a huge fan of this author’s previous book I was extremely excited for this and could not wait to tuck in! I absolutely loved the main character in this Emma, she has been through so much and we see all the highs and lows she goes through and you can’t help but feel for her. I really enjoyed the involvement of her sisters they just make the story sound so real and they are hilarious some of the things they come of with. This book is jam packed with so so many laugh out loud moments honestly I just couldn’t stop laughing. Also I found this very easy to read and it only took me 2 days to read itbwas that good I just flew through it.
I must say Kristen Bailey is being to be one of my favourite authors and I can’t wait to read her next book - fingers crossed we don’t have to wait long!
