Blog Tour - The Girl In Room 12

Publication date 26th January 2024

About the book

My husband was the last person to see the girl in room 12. But did he kill her? Our gorgeous house on our quiet tree-lined street is completely safe, the perfect place to raise our little girl. Or so I thought. Because my heart beats out of my chest when I hear the news tonight. A beautiful young woman has been killed in the River Walk Hotel, barely five minutes away. How can something so awful happen here?

I try to block the shocking story out as I kiss my sweet daughter goodnight, her blonde curls fanning out onto the pillow. I just want my husband Max to come home – I don’t feel safe.

I start to tidy up the house, the only way to distract myself from my swirling thoughts. And that’s when I find it. It’s unmistakable. A key card for room 12 at the River Walk Hotel. Where that poor girl has just been found dead. It must be a coincidence. Right?

My hand starts to shake as I think back over the last few days. I know Max has been a bit distracted, arriving home late at night. I’ve started to become paranoid that he could be having an affair. But never something like this.

I tell myself that Max couldn’t kill anyone. He’s a family man now, different to who he was before. Even so, I should go to the police right away. But I can’t.

Because if I do, I’m scared they’ll start to suspect me. How much do I really know about the girl in room 12? And if the truth comes out, how far will I go to protect my precious family?

A completely gripping thriller from bestselling author Kathryn Croft that will leave you breathless as you turn the pages. Fans of Lisa Jewell, K.L. Slater and Freida McFadden will be captivated by The Girl in Room 12.

My Review
OH MY GOD!!! This book is outstanding! I take my hat off to this author! They clearly know how to write such a bestseller!
From the minute I picked up this book I struggled to pull myself away from it and was unable to put it down. There was SO many twists and turns. Every single one of them was unexpected and I definitely didn't see them coming. Honestly my heart was pounding throughout.
The characters where amazing and fitted the story perfect, there was plenty to love and hate.
An absolutely fantastic book.

The Fortune Teller

Publication date 1st April 2024

About the book

‘You might think you’ve met the man of your dreams. But if you marry him, it will end in tragedy within five years. If you want everyone you love to stay safe, you should walk away…’

The fortune teller told me my fate. But I ignored her. I married the man of my dreams. We made a family. Our life is beautiful, safe and happy.

I’ve pushed that hazy, sunny afternoon in the park, where we spotted a funfair setting up, and my best friends and I dared each other to go into the fortune teller’s tent…

I’ve tried to forget what she said about how tragedy lay ahead for me. I want to believe that we are in charge of our own fates. Looking at my two perfect, beautiful children, I refuse to believe things could go wrong for us…

But as strange things begin to happen, I begin to wonder… could there be any truth behind what the fortune teller told me that day? And if not, who in my life wants me to be scared for my life? And how do I protect the family from the worst fate imaginable?

A totally gripping psychological thriller that fans of Gone Girl, The Housemaid and K.L. Slater will be utterly hooked by.

My Review

Literally picked this book up in the morning and began to read it and before I knew it I was finishing it later that evening. Its that addicting, honestly I found this so hard to put down. Every page that went past, I was frightened, I was dreading what was coming next. I could never have predicted the outcome. I’m still in shock its crazy. The suspense oh my god!

The characters are so relatable and you can easily imagine yourself in their position. I just really felt for Simmy the main character, she seems like such a lovely person and you desperately want the best for her. You will definitely feel all the emotions with her.

Another thing I enjoyed about this book was the way it was based on a fortune teller.  Now the whole fortune teller business frightens and intrigues me. I would never be able to visit one myself, I’d dread if there was anything bad they would say and I wouldn’t be able to enjoy life knowing the upcoming. I do believe its best not knowing but wouldn’t you just love it if you were to hear positive and exciting things that would happen to you.

The way the author has written this book is incredible, they know how to capture your attention and not loose it. I would definitely say this is got to be one of my favourite books ever! Will definitely be reading a whole lot more from this author and I can’t wait for the next book!
